Huntsville Hospital Foundation announced today that the iconic Steve Miller Band will be headlining its 35th annual Huntsville Classic on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Huntsville’s Orion Amphitheater.

The blues-influenced pop/rock band is known for their distinctive catalog that dominated radio in the mid-to-late 70s. Steve Miller Band’s “Greatest Hits 1974-78” compilation album received the Recording Industry Association of America’s Diamond Award with sales of more than 15 million copies. It is among the top 25 best-selling albums of all time.

The legendary group will play a variety of their greatest hits at the Huntsville Classic fundraiser. Fan favorites include, ““The Joker,” "Rock'n Me," "Fly Like an Eagle,” “Abracadabra,” and “Take the Money and Run."

The event benefits the pediatrics department at not-for-profit Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children through Huntsville Hospital Foundation. Proceeds will be used to purchase a pediatric critical care transport ambulance, renovate the Pediatric ICU, and improve lives through the Canines for Coping and Caring House programs.

“This investment will truly help us serve the whole pediatric patient by meeting their physical and emotional needs” said Huntsville Hospital Foundation President Sarah Savage-Jones. “By purchasing a concert ticket, you are helping ensure our local, public hospital can continue providing world-class care to kids from across North Alabama, from NICU infants to teenagers.”

Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children offers the most advanced pediatric health care in the region, including pediatric emergency services, pediatric intensive care, Level III neonatal intensive care and pediatric surgery. The hospital is also home to one of only eight St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Affiliate Clinics in the nation.
