Leadership Council
In January 2008, 55 students from 10 high schools in Madison County were invited to become charter members of the Huntsville Hospital Foundation Leadership Council. Students were nominated by their school administrators and further selected by the Foundation’s staff. The members of the Council take part in monthly meetings, which feature a presentation by a hospital employee or physician and include a tour of a hospital department. Throughout the year, the teenagers host events and take part in projects that benefit patients at Huntsville Hospital. The Council gives students the opportunity to learn about various medical careers and philanthropy and to enhance their leadership, organization and time management skills.
Children in our community painted colorful pictures like these during the Share Celebration. Their artwork will be hung in pediatric patient rooms. | New members practice CPR at
their first HHFLC meeting.
