This is the story of our amazing son, Jesse Robert Maxwell.
Jesse was born on June 12, 2008 at Decatur General Hospital. All of his organs were failing, and his brain was swollen. He was rushed to the Huntsville Hospital Neonatal ICU. They put him on a cooling blanket to help reduce the brain swelling.
God gave us two wonderful days with him. We are very thankful to all of the doctors and nurses for the time and effort they devoted in order for us to have those few precious days with Jesse.
The NICU only had one cooling blanket when Jesse needed it. If the cooling blanket had been in use when Jesse needed it, he would have had to go to another hospital. We probably would not have had the chance to see and hold him.
Through Jesse's Blanket, we have raised enough money to purchase another cooling blanket for the NICU. We hope we can continue to help babies by raising money for whatever the NICU needs.
