"The Farm in Jones Valley” benefits hospital patients

Huntsville Hospital Foundation would like to send a special thank you to local author Raymond B. Jones, Sr. and Barnes & Noble in Jones Valley. Mr. Jones introduced his first book, “The Farm in Jones Valley,” at a special signing at Barnes & Noble on December 20. A portion of the book sales proceeds will benefit the Betty Jones Memorial Heart Fund, in memory of Mr. Jones' mother. In addition, Barnes & Noble has generously donated a portion of proceeds from all sales on December 20 to provide cds, dvds, and books for patients to enjoy during their hospital stay.

There is no finer or more appropriate gift than one that offers help and hope to others

Cardiologist Dr. Warren Strickland is the first to utilize Intracardiac Ultrasound technology in north Alabama.

Alabama ranks fourth in the nation for cardiovascular disease, and we live in the middle of what the National Institutes of Health deems the “stroke belt.” That is why it is more important than ever for Huntsville Hospital Foundation to provide an Intracardiac Ultrasound (ICUS) for Huntsville Hospital’s Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The ICUS allows the hospital’s cardiologists to treat Patent Foramen Ovale, a heart defect, also known as a “hole in the heart” in a minimally invasive way – without open heart surgery. That means fewer risks and shorter recovery time for patients.

To help the Foundation fund the ICUS, please visit www.onlinelifeline.org. You can even make your donation in honor or in memory of a loved one, and the Foundation will send the honoree a letter notifying them of your generous gift. Thank you for your support!

Honor your loved ones with engraved brick pavers at Madison Hospital!

Don't miss the opportunity to put your name on the brand new Madison Hospital!  With a donation of $100 or $1,000, you can put your name -- or the names of your children, grandchildren, or other loved ones or the name/logo of your company, school, club, or organization -- on a brick paver and in turn, help to provide a beautiful healing garden for Madison Hospital.

To order your engraved brick pavers today, please fill out the order form.  We will mail an acknowledgment card to the honoree or family once we receive your form.
